The liver helps process and store minerals, fat-soluble vitamins, folate, and glucose/glycogen, which aid in the body’s normal homeostasis. The liver’s main job is to filter the blood from the digestive tract before passing it to the rest of the body. The liver also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs. As it does so, the liver secretes bile back into the intestines. 1. That’s interesting that the liver will do things like process chemicals and things like that in your body. I would think that it would be important to keep that healthy so that those sorts of things are processed correctly. I’ll have to consider taking some liver supplements or something like that to make sure that my gut is detoxified.

    1. Probiotics can also help with detoxification of the gut. Our environment is filled with so many toxins that can overload the liver and GI tract so it is important to use supplements that aid the liver in detoxification
