Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)

Pantothenic acid is the precursor to Coenzyme A (CoA) — the central molecule in cellular energy metabolism.

How It Works

Pantothenic acid is the precursor to Coenzyme A (CoA) — the central molecule in cellular energy metabolism. In the adrenal gland specifically, CoA is required for the synthesis of steroid hormones including cortisol, DHEA, and aldosterone. Without adequate B5, the adrenal gland cannot produce these hormones at normal rates, regardless of cholesterol availability.

Why It's in Our Formulas

B5 is the most commonly depleted nutrient in adrenal fatigue. Chronic stress dramatically increases the adrenal gland's demand for CoA and therefore B5. At 250mg, this formula provides a therapeutic dose — not a maintenance dose — designed to replenish depleted stores and restore steroidogenesis capacity.

Clinical Evidence

Animal studies show that B5 deficiency produces adrenal atrophy and reduced cortisol output. Human studies confirm that B5 supplementation supports adrenal hormone production and reduces fatigue. It is consistently one of the most depleted nutrients in chronically stressed individuals.

Dosing & Timing

Most effective when taken with adrenal glandular extract and Vitamin C as part of a complete adrenal support stack. Morning dosing preferred to support the natural cortisol peak.

"B5 is the fuel for the adrenal factory. You can have all the raw materials in the world, but without B5, the assembly line stops."
