Contains rosavins and salidroside that activate the stress-response proteins HSP70 and Hsp72, reduce cortisol-induced mitochondrial damage, and inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO) — supporting serotonin and dopamine levels.
Contains rosavins and salidroside that activate the stress-response proteins HSP70 and Hsp72, reduce cortisol-induced mitochondrial damage, and inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO) — supporting serotonin and dopamine levels. Rhodiola specifically targets mental fatigue and cognitive burnout, improving the brain's resistance to stress-induced performance decline.
While ashwagandha addresses the HPA axis and cortisol production, Rhodiola addresses the downstream effects of cortisol on brain function — specifically the mental fatigue, brain fog, and motivational depletion that characterize burnout. The two adaptogens work synergistically.
Multiple RCTs demonstrate significant reduction in burnout symptoms, improved cognitive performance under stress, and reduced fatigue. A 2009 study (Olsson et al.) showed significant improvement in burnout scores after 12 weeks. Standardized to 3% rosavins / 1% salidroside is the clinical standard.
Best taken in the morning on an empty stomach. Rhodiola has a mild stimulating effect — avoid evening use. Effects on mental fatigue are often noticed within 2–4 weeks.
